About Me

Clients seek me out for creativity – applying the latest technology to their business in novel and lucrative ways. Twenty years ago, that was Dealertrack using XML for credit aggregation. Last week, it was using AI to rate vehicle service contracts.

Provider Exchange Network (PEN) – I wrote the business plan for PEN, including the “marketplace” topology that made PEN a cornerstone of the F&I ecosystem.

BMW Infobahn – As CTO for BMW Finance, I launched auto retail’s first online credit system. This was before SSL, so we also set up a proprietary network.

AutoNation Express – Credit aggregation couldn’t happen without a common message format. I chaired the committee that developed the standard, which was subsequently adopted by Dealertrack.

RouteOne CAS – After leaving AutoNation, I consulted for RouteOne, where I served as contract administrator for the initial release of their aggregation system.

MenuVantage – As founder and CTO of MenuVantage, I launched the first web-based F&I menu system and pioneered electronic contracting.

Safe-Guard D2C – I created Safe-Guard’s direct-to-consumer offering, writing the business plan, assembling the team, and pitching it to their first few OEM clients.

Gulfstream AI – I developed a system to risk-rate vehicle service contracts using a proprietary regressor, in real time, over an API. Patent pending.

The stories are here on the blog. Enjoy. Hire me when you’re ready to push the envelope. All my clients have jets.
